Man Charged for Stealing Over $100,000 Worth of Construction Materials, Furnaces

The theft occurred in February in Oswego.

An area man has been charged with the theft of over $100,000 worth of construction equipment and other items from earlier in the year, said Oswego Police.

Over $100,000 worth of construction materials, multiple furnaces, air conditions and hot water heaters were reported stolen on Feb. 6, 2013 in the 150 block of Kirkland Circle, Oswego.

In August, Oswego police received information that the stolen property was in a storage building in unincorporated Naperville and the Investigations department conducted a search warrant at the storage facility.

They recovered numerous items that had been reported missing from the Kirkland Circle building.

At the end of the investigation charges for theft were filed against David A. Kives, 47, of the 1700 block of Baybrook Lane, Naperville.

 An arrest warrant has been issued and bond has been set at $50,000 with 10 percent to apply by a Kendall County Judge.
