Man Cited for Improperly Walking on Highway: Sheriff

Sunday, June 23

DUI                        

Stephanie Jo Hart, 29, of the 1200 block of Briarwood Lane, Sandwich, was arrested at 5:07 p.m. at Bridge Street and Garden Street, Kendall, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office received two separate phone calls of a possible intoxicated motorist and found Hart driving with a BAC over .08. She was also cited for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Speeding

Jose Luciano Ramos, 45, of the 1400 block of Superior Street, Aurora, was arrested at 1:11 a.m. at Orchard Road and Caterpillar Drive, Oswego, and charged with speeding over 40 mph of the posted speed limit, said the Sheriff’s office. He was found driving 58 mph over, traveling 103 mph in a 45mph speed zone.

Possession of a controlled substance

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report for a subject possibly overdosing on an unknown substance at 7 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Ashlawn, Oswego. A white power substance was located and charges may be pending.

Warrant

Raymond Jude Cichy, 66, of the 0-99 block of Maple Street, Yorkville, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. at his residence and charged with an in state warrant out of Kendall Couty for harassing communication, said the Sheriff’s office.

Saturday, June 22

Harassment through electronic means

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported harassment through electronic means that occurred at 6:30 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Saugatuck Road, Montgomery. The victim reported receiving unwanted messages through a website.

Friday, June 21

Fraud

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported fraud that took place on March 30 in the 200 block of Ferwood, Montgomery. The subject purchased a vehicle on Craig’s List and upon delivery of the vehicle and a payment of $750 the victim received what appeared to be a valid title. The subject applied for a title transfer and license plates and then learned the title was photocopied.  

Resisting, obstructing a police officer

Kenneth Alan Stanker, 52, of the 100 block of Pine Ridge Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 11:27 p.m. at Bridge Street and Van Emmon Road and charged with resisting and obstructing a police officer, said the Sheriff’s office. A deputy attempted to contact Stanker after he was found improperly walking down a roadway and reportedly refused to comply, walking away from the deputy multiple times. When the deputy tried to move Stanker off the roadway to conduct an investigation, Stanker attempted to pull away. He was also cited for improper walking on a highway.

Driving on revoked license

Joshua William Kay, 28, of the 10300 block of Galena Road, Bristol, was arrested at 4:28 a.m. at Route 30 and Goodwin Drive, Oswego, and charged with driving on a revoked license, said the Sheriff’s office.

Credit card fraud

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for credit card fraud that occurred on June 14. An unknown subject used the victim’s credit card number to purchase a camera from BestBuy.com.

Warrant

Angela Marie Kierna, 25, of the 100 block of Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, was arrested at 8:33 a.m. at her residence and charged with a warrant out of Kendall County for driving on a suspended license, said the Sheriff’s office.

Thursday, June 20

Theft, cannabis and drug paraphernalia possession

Timothy Lee Ryan, 25, of the 300 block of South Fordham Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 3:50 a.m. at the Caterpillar Plant, 275 Route 31, Montgomery, and charged with theft, cannabis and drug paraphernalia possession, said the sheriff’s office. Deputies were dispatched for a report of theft and found that Ryan, a contracted employee of Caterpillar, had removed several items from a Caterpillar trailer without permission.

Warrant

Dominic Roman Hemmings, 21, of the 4500 block of Half Moon Drive, Yorkville, was arrested at 5:26 p.m. at Fernwood and Briar Cliff Roads and charged with a warrant out of Kendall County for failure to appear on a suspended license driving charge, said the Sheriff’s office.

Wednesday, June 19

Burglary

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported burglary that occurred at an unknown time in the 1700 block of Wolf Road. An unknown subject entered a residence and removed several items. The owner is determining the total value of the missing items.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for criminal damage to state supported property that occurred at Long Beach Elementary. Someone(s) spray painted several areas of park equipment.

Harassment

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for harassment that occurred over telephone. The victim reported receiving multiple phone calls from an unknown subject, which disrupted their service.

Tuesday, June 18

Disorderly conduct

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a subject on a house’s roof looking into a home at 9:29 p.m. in the 7800 block of Route 71, Bristol. No persons were found in the area.

Warrant

  • Christopher Stephen Hansen, 41, of the 10200 block of Galena Road, Yorkville, was arrested at 3:52 p.m. at his residence and charged with two warrants out of Kendall County, said the Sheriff’s office.
  • Brandon Christopher Klein, 21, of the 0-99 block of Clay Court, Montgomery, was arrested at 5:40 a.m. in the 3700 block of Plainfield Road, Oswego, and charged with a warrant after deputies went to the area for a motorist assist, said the Sheriff’s office.

Monday, June 17

Hit and run

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of a hit and run crash that occurred at 6 p.m. in the 2500 block of Light Road, Oswego. The victim’s vehicle was struck in the left rear by a dark green sedan. No suspects at this time.
