Man Reportedly Tries to Lure 11-Year-Old Girl Into Car

The man told the girl he was looking for his lost dog.

A man reportedly tried to lure an 11-year-old girl into his truck last night in Boulder Hill, said the Sheriff's office.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:55 p.m. at Braedurn and Tealwood Roads on Thursday, Sept. 19. The child told the Sheriff's office that she was riding her bicycle when she was approached by a man driving a silver, 2-door pick-up truck.


The man asked her to get in his truck to help him find his lost dog. The girl refused and fled from the truck on her bicycle.

The offender was described as a 50-year-old white male, with dark brown shoulder length hair, thin, with glasses and a moustache. 

The vehicle left the area in an unknown direction. Deputies searched for the vehicle, but there is no additional information at this time on the vehicle or offender. The incident is under investigation..

If anyone should encounter a situation like this, the Sheriff's office recommends the individual go to a safe place and call 911 immediately.
