Man Stabs Phone with Kitchen Knife in Battery Incident: Sheriff

Domestic battery

David Wayne Hall, 52, of the 0-99 block of Hillstone Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 2:58 a.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery, said the Sheriff’s office.

Sunday, Dec. 1

Domestic battery, criminal damage to property

Kevin Michael Buckly, 35, of the 7600 block of Galena Road, Bristol, was arrested at 7:52 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property after being involved in a physical fight with a family member and broke several items in the residence during the altercation, said the Sheriff’s office.

Saturday, Nov. 30

Possession of cannabis, possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor

Two male juveniles, both 17, were arrested at 7:48 a.m. at Circe Drive East and Greenbriar following a traffic stop for speeding. Both were charged with the unlawful possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor after a bottle was located in the vehicle. One of the juveniles was charged with the possession of cannabis.

Domestic battery, criminal damage to property

Eleazar L. Smith, 25, of the 2800 block of Light Road, Oswego, was arrested at 11:50 a.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property, said the Sheriff’s office. Smith reportedly pulled a cell phone out of the hands of a family member during an argument. He then stabbed the phone repeatedly with a kitchen knife, which caused the phone to break.

Friday, Nov. 29

Hit and run crash

Jeremy Rae Vermilyer, 21, of the 23000 block of West Lockport Street, Plainfield, was arrested at his residence and charged with a hit and run property damage accident earlier in the day, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies went to the scene of the crash, which occurred in the 6600 block of Route 126, Yorkville, and found that a vehicle had struck a fence and a power pole, but had left prior to the deputies’ arrival. The driver was located at his residence and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and cited for improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Resisting a peace officer

Matthew L. Moore, 20, of the 3000 block of Julie Lane, Montgomery, was arrested at 7:42 a.m. at Fernwood and Winrock, Oswego, and charged with resisting a peace officer after a vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped for disobeying a stop sign and he obstructed a peace officer, said the Sheriff’s office.

Warrant

Marlon Jermaine Dickerson, 24, of the 400 block of Garfield, Aurora, was arrested at 2:47 a.m. in the 2000 block of Orchard Road, Bristol, on a warrant, said the Sheriff’s office.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

Domestic battery

Thomas Keller Hogan, 52, of the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road, Yorkville, was arrested at 12:34 a.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery after a victim was transported to Rush-Copley with a head injury, said the Sheriff’s office.

Theft

A female juvenile was charged with theft over $500 during an incident that occurred on Nov. 25 in the 100 block of West Rickard, Oswego. The juvenile was found following an investigation to have taken a ring that was reported stolen. She and another female juvenile were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis in the incident, said the Sheriff’s office.
