Montgomery Man Gets 5 Years For Sexually Abusing Two Children

Jesus Barrientos was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty.

A Montgomery man was sentenced to five years in prison Friday after admitting to sexually abusing two children he knew.

Jesus Barrientos, 44, of the 2900 block of Shetland Lane, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in exchange for a five-year sentence.

Prosecutors said Barrientos touched the sex organs of two children he knew in July 2013. Both children were younger than 13 at the time.

Barrientos will get credit for serving 249 days in the Kane County jail, where he has been held on $1 million bond since July.

In addition to the five-year sentence, Barrientos must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
