Multiple Bikes Stolen Around Oswego: Police

Tuesday, June 4


Possession of firearm
Oswego police are investigating a possible firearm possession incident that occurred at 10 a.m. in the 100 block of Polk Street. A person in possession of a firearm did not have a FOID card.

Theft
  • Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred at 12:30 p.m. at Oswego High School.  A bicycle valued at $200 was taken. 
  • Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred between 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at Oswego High School. A bike valued at $350 was taken. 
  • Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred at an unknown time in the 300 block of Morgan Valley Drive. Two bicycles valued at $1,800 were taken from an open garage. 

Sunday, June 2


Obstructing peace officer
A male juvenile, 17, was arrested at 8:10 p.m. in the 300 block of Ogden Falls Boulevard and charged for obstructing a peace officer, said Oswego police.

DUI, unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor
Erik Salgado Jr., 20, of the 1000 block of East Galena Boulevard, Aurora, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. at Route 31 and Century Drive and charged for driving under the influence of alcohol, unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and driving with a suspended license, said Oswego police.

No valid driver's license
Armando G. Resendiz, 35, of the 1000 block of South Union Street, Aurora, was arrested at 9:02 p.m. at Route 34 and Ogden Falls Boulevard and charged with driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. He was also cited for disobeying a stop sign.

Saturday, June 1


DUI
Amanda G. Semenek, 21, of the 100 block of Tealwood, Montgomery, was arrested at 2:23 a.m. at Douglas and Farmington Lakes and charged with driving under the influence, said Oswego police. She was also cited with failure to signal.

Domestic battery, obstructing peace officer
Tamera C. Schulmeister, 49, of the 100 block of Oaklawn Avenue, Oswego, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. at Route 34 and Fifth Street and charged with domestic battery and obstructing a peace officer, said Oswego police.

No valid driver's license
A female juvenile was arrested at 1:41 a.m. at Route 34 and Rickard and charged with driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.

Friday, May 31


Arson
Oswego police are investigating an arson report that occurred at Plank Jr. High, 500 block of Secretariat Drive. An unknown subject (s) lit paper materials on fire inside one of the school's restrooms. Damage is estimated at $300.

No valid driver's license
Denaricka M. Whitty, 32, of the 300 block of Old Indian Trail, Aurora, was arrested at 9 p.m. at Route 34 and Chesterfield and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.

DUI
Colleen I. Sanchez, 55, of the 400 block of Stonewater Lane, Oswego, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. at Roosevelt Road and Hoover Circle and charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident, said Oswego police. She was also cited with failure to reduce speed. 

Retail theft
Oswego police are investigating a retail theft that occurred between April 29 and May 22 in the 2300 block of Route 34. $476 was reported stolen.

Theft
Oswego police took a report for a theft that occurred at an unknown time in the 4200 block of Route 71. The victim's wallet was taken from her purse.

Identity theft
Oswego police took a report of an identity theft that occurred on May 21. Someone used the victim's identity to open several credit accounts.
