There were no injuries reported in a car vs. train accident that happened at bout 8:06 a.m. in downtown Oswego, said Oswego Police Captain Jeff Burgner.

A single car accident occurred at the train crossing at West Jackson and South Adams.

The train is currently stopped on the tracks, said Burgner. "It's blocking two roadways right now - South Adams between the Waubonsie Creek bridge and down to Second Street."

The bridge, which was damaged by flooding, will be reopened only to residents who live on South Adams, said Burgner until the train can be moved. It will then be closed again.

Vehicles parked in the area can still get out, but they are not allowed back in. Emergency personnel are able to access the area on foot if needed, said Burgner.

NTSB has been contacted and Police are awaiting further updates on when the train will be moved.

At this time the incident is under investigation and no cause is being released.
