No One Injured in Oswego House Fire

Oswego firefighters worked for about 45 minutes to extinguish a blaze at 703 N. Sparkle Court Sunday.

A large house fire Sunday has displaced an Oswego family, according to officials.

The fire at 703 N. Sparkle Court was called in at 11:36 a.m. and took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring under control, said OFPD Fire Marshal Lt. Alec Keenum.

The fire, which did not result in any injuries, has left the home uninhabitable, Keenum said.  The fire is still under investigation, but appears to have started at the back of the home, Keenum said.

Montgomery, Aurora, Bristol-Kendall and Plainfield fire departmetns provided mutual aid for the fire.

OFPD firefighters cleared the scene at about 2:45 p.m., Keenum said.
