Armed to the teeth

Daryl Florenco Dourado, 25, of the 1500 block of Acorn Court in Lombard, was arrested at 10:25 p.m. June 15 near 95th Street and Reflection Drive, Naperville police said. He was charged with unlawful use of weapons, operating a vehicle without insurance, speeding 30 MPH or more over the limit and disobeying a traffic control device. His bond was $200. Dourado was stopped for running a red light and traveling 103 MPH in a 45-MPH zone. Under the driver's seat were two cans of pepper spray, metal knuckles and an expandable baton.

Unwanted guest

A woman renting a room at the Motel 6 in Joliet unlocked the door to find a man sleeping in the bed. And the man was apparently doing more than just sleeping during his unauthorized (free) stay at the 1850 McDonough St. motel, as cleaning women later found an unspecified number of condoms on the floor of the violated room, Joliet  said. Motel 6 staff alerted police to the freeloader Tuesday. The man apparently got into the room by pushing an air conditioner through a window. The air conditioner was damaged in the break-in, police said.
