Oswego Blotter: Car Burglaries; Wheels Stolen from Rental Car

Arrests, incidents reported by Oswego police.

May 10

Michael D. Harris, 28, of the 400 block of Fawn Drive, Oswego, was arrested by Oswego police and booked into the Kendall County jail on a charge of domestic battery, police said.

Four wheels were stolen from a parked vehicle at Enterprise Rent-a-Car, 51 Kirkland Circle, Oswego police said.

May 9

Oswego police took a report for harassment by telephone from a victim who was receiving unwanted texts from an ex-boyfriend, police said.

A vehicle burglary was reported in the 300 block of Chicago Road, and items worth $1,000 were stolen, Oswego police said.

May 8

Two unlocked cars were burglarized and property was stolen in the 100 block of Garfield, Oswego police said.

In another burglary, this one in the 0-100 block of Park Street, belongings were taken from an unlocked car and discarded elsewhere in the village. The items were later recovered and turned back over to the owner, Oswego police said.

A metal throwing knife was stolen from a vehicle left in an unlocked detached garage in the 0-100 block of Jefferson Street, Oswego police said. Someone also rummaged through the garage, according to police.
