Oswego police are investigating an aggravated battery that occurred on a school bus between two juveniles, police said.

John M. Lawrence, 37 of the 0-100 block of Boat Lane, Oswego, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving an uninsured vehicle following an accident on Route 30 at 8:16 p.m., police said. Lawrence, who reportedly turned out in front of an oncoming vehicle, was arrested after being treated at Rush-Copley hospital. The other driver was uninjured, according to police.

A resident of the 500 block of Rosebush Lane reported forgery of checks totaling more than $3,900, according to police.

Someone fraudulently used the Social Security number of a resident of the 300 block of Lombardy Lane, police said.

A resident of the 500 block of Truman reported that someone racked up more than $400 in fraudulent charges on the victim's credit card, police said.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested at Meijer, 2700 Route 34, and charged with retail theft, police said.

A resident of the 500 block of Chestnut, Oswego, filed a claim for unlawful use of a credit card after the victim's card was fraudulently used to make more than $1,400 in purchases in Chicago, Oswego police said.
