Oswego Blotter: Man Harassed Via Text; Arrests for Pot, Failure to Appear

Feb. 3

Michael Aaron Jaquez, 18, of the 400 block of Lennox Drive, Oswego, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and David Alexander Jaquez, 25, of the same address, was charged with obstruction of identification and booked on a a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear in court following a traffic stop at 11:09 p.m. at York and Lennox in Oswego. Kendall County Sheriff's police said they stopped the car, driven by Michael Jaquez, for an equipment violation, and discovered that the driver was in possession of cannabis. The passenger allegedly provided a false name to police, but was determined to be David Jaquez. Police discovered David Jaquez had an active DuPage County warrant for failing to appear on in court on a DUI charge, according to the sheriff's office.

Feb. 2

Police responded to a home in the 100 block of Heathgate Road, Montgomery, to a report that a 20-year-old man was receiving harassing text messages. The incident is under investigation, police said.
