Oswego Blotter: Traffic Stop Yields Ammunition Arrest; Hit and Runs Reported

Mark Nathan Coziar, 20, of the 0-100 block of Sedgewick Road, Oswego, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff's police and charged with unlawful possession of firearm ammunition and cited for disregarding a stop sign, driving without a rear registration light, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving without a license, police said. Marco Antonio Sanchez, 21, of the 700 block of Calhoun Street, Aurora, a passenger in Coziar's vehicle, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, police said. According to police, Coziar's vehicle was stopped for disregarding a stop sign and driving without a rear registration plate light at around 10:18 p.m. at Light Road and Anchor Drive. During a search of the vehicle, police located firearm ammunition, multiple items of drug paraphernalia, police said. Neither man had a Firearm Owners Identification Card, according to police.

Someone struck a mailbox at a home in the 200 block of Concord and drove away without reporting it, police said.

March 19

Oswego police investigated a hit and run crash in the area of 201 Ogden Falls Boulevard at around 2:40 p.m. No injuries were reported, police said.
