Oswego Man Charged with Cannabis, Oscillating Light Possession in Drunk Driving Incident: Police

Tuesday, June 25
DUI, disorderly conduct, possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, possession and illegal use of oscillating lights
Matthew R. Johnson, 20, of the 200 block of Mondovi Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 12:17 a.m. at Route 34 and Peaces Ford and charged for driving under the influence of alcohol, disorderly conduct, possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, possession and illegal use of oscillating lights, said Oswego police. He was also cited for improper lane sage, following too closely and failing to signal.

Roderick Woltman, 39, of the 500 block of Hartford Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 10:01 p.m. at Route 71 and Route 34 and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, said Oswego police. He was also cited with an improper turn and failure to signal.
Criminal damage to property

Oswego police took a report for criminal damage to property that occurred at an unknown time at the Lincoln Station common grounds. Metal posts were cut by unknown persons resulting in $300 of estimated damage.
Burglary to motor vehicle
Oswego police took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred btween 6:45 p.m. on June 24 and 6:30 a.m. on June 25 in the 200 block of Isleview. A backpack containing a laptop was removed from an unlocked car. Value is estimated at $2,110.
Monday, June 24
Counterfeit money
Oswego police took a report of the attempted use of counterfeit money that occurred at 10:23 p.m. 1100 block of Route 34. A subject attempted to pay with a fraudulent $20 bill for a portion of a $55 gas bill.
Unlawful presence within a school zone
Jeffrey Limacher, 42, of the 100 block of Osage Court, Oswego, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. at the Oswego Police Department and charged with unlawful presence within a school zone, said Oswego police.
Sunday, June 23
DUI
Andrew S. Williams, 26, of the 2000 block of Sedgegrass Trail, Aurora, was arrested at 4:30 a.m. at Orchard Road and Galena Road and charged with driving under the influence, said Oswego police. He was also cited with improper lane usage.
Hit and run
Oswego police took a report for a hit and run accident that occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34. A car was legally parked in the parking lot and was hit on its rear bumper by an unknown vehicle causing over $500 in damages. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oswego Police Department traffic unit at 630-551-7300.

Domestic battery, resisting/obstruction, unlawful interference with reporting domestic battery, criminal damage to property
Donald Curtis Jr., 41, of the 2200 block of West 157t Street, Markham, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. in the 100 block of Concord Drive and charged with domestic battery, unlawful interference of reporting a domestic battery, resisting/obstruction and criminal damage to property, said Oswego police.
Possession of cannabis, drug paraphernalia
Dexter J. Verner, 19, of the 2900 block of Savannah Drive, Aurora; Erica Lopez-Lopez, 20, of the 500 block of Florida Avenue, Aurora; and Brandon W. Reed, 18, of the 800 block of Van Buren Street, Batavia, were arrested at 2:39 a.m. at Montgomery Road and Hill Avenue, said Oswego police. Verner and Lopez-Lopez were charged with possession of cannabis and Reed was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hit and run
Oswego police took a report for a hit and run that occurred at an unknown time in the 400 block of Huchinson. An unknown vehicle struck a parkway tree.
Thursday, June 20
Warrant
John T. English, 52, of the 1300 block of Douglas, Montgomery, was arrested at 7:52 p.m. at Douglas and Route 30 and charged with a failure to appear warrant for driving on a suspended license, said Oswego police.
Wednesday, June 19
Reckless driving, aggravated battery, leaving scene of accident with injury
Amanda L. Jones, 20, of the 900 block of Drelard court, Batavia, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. at Fernwood and Sonora and charged with reckless driving, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of an accident with an injury, said Oswego police.
