Oswego Man Killed in Chicago Home Invasion

The incident happened Thursday evening.

An Oswego man has been reported killed in a Thursday night home invasion in Chicago, according to the Sun Times.

Elijah Johnson, 50, of  the 400 block of Stonewater Lane, Oswego, was shot and killed about 8:15 p.m. n the 1600 block of South Central Park Avenue on Chicago's west side. 

Chicago police told the Sun Times that Johnson answered the door and two men tried to force their way inside, claiming to be looking for a girl inside. 

Johnson got into a physical struggle with the suspects and was shot in the chest. The suspects then fled on foot. 

There is currently no one in custody and Chicago police are investigating the shooting.
