Several Hit and Runs Reported in Last Week: Police

Tuesday, Feb. 19

Warrant

  • Ismael R. Rodriguez III, 35, of the 1800 block of Candlelight Circle, Montgomery, was arrested at 2:52 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Main Street and charged with two failure to appear warrants, said Oswego police. One warrant was for aggravated assault and the other for driving under the influence.
  • Reginald O. Hall, 49, of the 600 block of Springbrook Trail North, Oswego, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. in the 600 block of Springbrook Trail and charged with an in-state warrant, said Oswego police.

Retail theft

Rachel L. Bryant, 35, of the 2800 block of Brian Lane, Montgomery and Laura E. Rossi, 34, of the 3500 block of Islay Lane, Crete, were arrested at 12:05 a.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft, said Oswego police.

Disorderly conduct

Two female juveniles were arrested at 2:00 p.m. at Oswego East High School and charged with disorderly conduct for fighting in the hallway, said Oswego police.

Monday, Feb. 18

Hit and run

Oswego police responded to a reported hit and run that occurred at 6:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of Route 34. A parked vehicle was struck, resulting in over $500 worth of damages.

Friday, Feb. 15

Theft

Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred at 8:00 a.m. at Oswego East High School. An iPhone valued at $300 was reported taken from the victim’s locker.

Hit and run

Oswego police responded to a reported hit and run that occurred at an unknown time at Danbury and Morgan Valley. An unknown vehicle hit a mailbox and left.

Thursday, Feb. 14

Suicide threat

Oswego police responded to a reported suicide threat of a juvenile at 6:42 p.m. at Wolverine and Bucktail. The juvenile was transferred to Rush Copley for a psychological evaluation.

Domestic battery

Sanjay Ghassi, 42, of the 400 block of Kensington Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

Hit and run

Oswego police responded to a reported hit and run that occurred at 10:20 a.m. at Willowwood and Burr Oak. An unknown vehicle struck a mailbox and left the scene. Damage is estimated at over $100.
