Tuesday, Oct. 30

No valid driver’s license, obstructing identification

Abel Hernandez, 30, of the 400 block of Ohio, Aurora, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. at Wolf and Route 30 and charged with driving with  no valid driver’s license and obstructing identification, said Oswego police.

Monday, Oct. 29

No valid driver’s license

Cristina Juarez, 31, of the 2200 block of Rebecca Circle, Montgomery, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. at Douglas and Weisbrook Drive and charged with driving with no valid driver’s license, said Oswego police. 

Sunday, Oct. 28

Domestic battery

Oswego police are investigating a reported domestic battery that occurred at 11:40 a.m. at Route 34 and Prairie Market.

Domestic battery, possession of Cannabis

Matthew J. Bradshaw, 29, of 700 Eagle Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 4:50 a.m. in the 200 block of Willowood Drive and charged with two counts of domestic battery and possession of cannabis under 2.5 grams, said Oswego police.

Saturday, Oct. 27

Criminal damage to vehicle

Oswego police responded to reported damage done to a car at 6:18 p.m. in the 400 block of Grapevine Trail. A car door was scratched with an unknown object. Damages are estimated at $1,500.

Friday, Oct. 26

Leaving scene of an accident

Alejandro Perez, 26, of the 600 block of Manhattan Circle, was arrested at 12:55 a.m. at his residence and charged for leaving the scene of an accident that occurred on Oct. 21, said Oswego police. He was also charged with failing to leave information and improper lane usage.  Over $1,500 was reported in damages.

Theft

• A male juvenile, 16, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. at Oswego East High School and charged with a theft that occurred in September. He reportedly stole over $1,000.
• Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. at a retail store in the 2700 block of Route 34. A wallet was reportedly taken from an unattended purse and several charges were made on the credit cards. $70 was reported stolen.
• Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred at at a retail store in the 2700 block of Route 34. A victim reported their wallet stolen from their shopping cart while and one of their credit cards was used at a different store. $600 was reported stolen.
• Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred at 9:30 a.m. at a retail store in the 2700 block of Route 34. The victim reported their cellphone, valued at $400, was stolen while they were shopping.

Hit and run

Oswego police are investigating a hit and run that occurred at 10:02 p.m. at Route 34 and Pearces Ford.

Wednesday, Oct. 24

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police are investigating an attempted break-in that occurred at 12:19 a.m. at the Fox Valley Kickers Club. $500 was reported in damages. An iPhone was reported stolen.

No valid driver’s license

Hecer H. Vera-Torres, 36, of the 0-99 block of Root Street, Aurora, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. at Route 34 and Fifth Street and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police. He was also cited with not wearing a seatbelt.

Oswego police responded to a reported theft that occurred on Oct. 22 in the 1500 block of Harvey Road.

Theft

Oswego police responded to a reported theft that occurred on Oct. 18 at an unknown time in the 500 block of Northgate Circle. $153.83 was reported stolen through 4 unauthorized cred card transactions.

Monday, Oct. 22

Theft

Oswego police responded to a reported theft that occurred on Oct. 21 at 4:00 p.m. at a retail store in the 2700 block of Route 34. An elderly shopper reported her purse stolen while she was shopping.
