Tuesday, Nov. 27

Possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia

Sean G. Young, 18, of the 2500 block of Autumn Court, Aurora, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. at Route 71 and Washington and charged with the possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police.

Oswego police are investigating a reported hit and run that occurred at 3 a.m. at Route 71 and Panther. A vehicle was legally parked in a parking lot and was hit while it was unattended. Damages are estimated more than $300.

Oswego police are investigating reported damage done to a vehicle that occurred between 1:30 a.m. and 2:04 a.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34. The door handle was damaged.

Monday, Nov. 26

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police responded to an incident of criminal damage to property that occurred between Nov. 21 and Nov. 26 at Jaycee Park on Saugatuck. Playground equipment was reported to have graffiti. The incident is under investigation.

Theft

  • Brenda Carrera, 23, of the 1300 block of Todd Farm Drive, Elgin, and Ashley Paredez Smith, 22, of the 300 block of Evans, Aurora, were arrested at 12:27 p.m. at in the 2300 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft under $2,000, said Oswego police.
  • Oswego police are investigating the reported unlawful use of a credit card that occurred on Nov. 21 at an unknown time. Total loss is estimated at $800.
  • Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred at an unknown time in the 300 block of Furlong. A wallet valued at $500 was removed from the residence.

Hit and run

Oswego police responded to a reported hit and run that occurred at 4:15 p.m. at Stonehill Road and Wolfs Crossing. A mailbox was struck. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Oswego police.

Theft

Oswego police are investigating an incident of two stolen license plates that occurred on April 29, 2012 at Route 34 and Route 30.

Sunday, Nov. 25

Telephone harassment

Oswego police are investigiating a reported telephone harassment that occurred at 10:19 a.m. A victim was sent text messages from an offender who was released from jail on Nov. 25 and was not to have contact with the victim for 72 hours according to the suspect’s bond.

In-state warrant

Megan A. Holk, 33, of the 400 block of Main Street, was arrested at 10:25 p.m. at her residence and charged with an in-state warrant, said Oswego police.

Saturday, Nov. 24

No valid driver’s license, speeding

Luis Delatorre, 30, of the 500 block of North Edgelawn Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 11:18 p.m. at Orchard Road and Galena and charged with driving without a valid license and speeding, said Oswego police.

Driving with license revoked

Joseph A. Gebbie, 51, of the 1200 block of Hinckley, Aurora, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Route 30 and Route 34 and charged with driving with a revoked license, said Oswego police.

Domestic battery

  • Oswego police are investigating a reported domestic battery that occurred at 2:30 p.m. at Belmont Ave. and Cardinal. A victim claimed they had been battered by a family member.
  • Brian D. Fisher, 50, of the 400 block of Sudbury Circle, was arrested at 7:24 a.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Friday, Nov. 23

No valid driver’s license

  • Salvador B. Martinez, 57, of the 400 block of Pennsylvania, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. at Route 30 and Treasure and charged with driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.
  • Areidy Ojeda, 22, of the 3100 block of Eugene, Auora, was arrested at 10:35 p.m. in the 1100 block of Route 34 and charged with driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. She was also cited for a seatbelt violation.

Thursday, Nov. 22

Burglary to motor vehicle

Oswego police responded to a reported burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred at 11:15 p.m. at Route 34 and Pearces Ford. A purse was reported taken.

Wednesday, Nov. 21

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police responded to reported criminal damage to property that occurred at 2:30 p.m. at the Park District of Oswego on Plainfield Road. Three windows were reported broken with damage estimated at $1,000.

No valid driver’s license

Nancy Delgado, 23, of the 600 block of Woodland, Aurora, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. at Washington and Palo Court and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. 

Failure to appear warrant

Michael G. Reyes, 35, of the 600 block of Howley, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. at his residence and charged with a failure to appear warrant, according to Oswego police. 

Aggravated battery warrant

Anna Gabris, 19, of the 100 block of Chesterfield Drive, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. at Route 34 and charged with an aggravated battery warrant out of Kane County, said Oswego police.

Retail theft

Walter E. Chambers, 38, of the 2200 block of Wilson Court, Gary, Indiana, was arrested at 8:58 p.m. in the 3100 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft, said Oswego police. He reportedly stole $263.90.

Theft

Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred between Dec. 25, 2011 and Nov. 21, 2012 in the 200 block of Ashcroft Lane. An Heirloom Damask Rose sterling silver silverware set valued at $15,000 was reported stolen.
