Oswego Police: Man Charged for Felony Retail Theft

Luis Escamilla of Cicero was identified by multiple jurisdictions.

A Cicero man has been charged with felony retail theft from an incident in May 2012 that occurred in the 2900 block of Route 34, according to Oswego Police.

Luis Escamilla, 31, of the 1600 block of South 59th Avenue, Cicero, was issued a warrant for his arrest for felony retail theft.  In May he removed over $4,000 worth of cell phones from display cases from a store in the 2900 block of Route 34, said Oswego police.

Multiple jurisdictions with similar incidents worked together to identify Escamilla.

His bail has been set at $5,000 with 10 percent required to be posted.

At this time, Escamilla has not been taken into custody on the warrant. Anyone with information regarding his current location is asked to call Oswego Police or Kendall County Crimestoppers at 630-553-5999.
