Oswego Police Seek Identity of Accused Vodka Thief

Police said the man stole several bottles of vodka from Jewel-Osco before getting into a Cadillac and taking off.

Oswego police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a retail theft at Jewel-Osco, 2795 Orchard Rd.

Police said the man stole several bottles of vodka before getting into the passenger side of an older-model, two-door gold Cadillac DeVille.

Capt. Jeff Burgner said the alleged theft occurred March 14, and was reported last week. On Monday, police obtained surveillance footage of the suspect, Burgner said.

A surveillance video screenshot posted to the Oswego Police Department Facebook page shows the suspect entering the Jewel-Osco store.

The photo is also posted at Kendall County Illinois Crimestoppers and www.idthisperson.com, which offers $25 rewards to assist law enforcement in IDing suspects.
