Oswego Police Take the Plunge for Special Olympics

Team Oswego, made up of Oswego police officers, department employees and their families participated in Polar Plunge for the tenth year running.

Oswego police officers, department employees and their families braved the cold last weekend as they plunged into the icy-cold Loon Lake for the annual Polar Plunge.

This is the tenth year the department, under the name Team Oswego, has participated in the Polar Plunge, which benefits Special Olympics Illinois.

The team took the plunge at Loon Lake at the Silver Springs State Park for the tenth year in a row. They raised over $3,000 for the special Olympics.

The group would like to thank their sponsors, who donated $100 or more and had their name on Team Oswego's t-shirt. They are:
