Oswego Police: Thank You for Adopting a Cop for Special Olympics Illinois

The following press release was issued by the Oswego Police Department:

The Law Enforcement Torch Run Leg 22 would like to thank our gracious sponors for their donations to the Adopt-A-Cop fundraiser benefitting Special Olympics Illinois.

Businesses and citizens throughout Kendall County “adopted a cop” by donating $100 to Special Olympics Illinois. The businesses sponsored a law enforcement officer or family member for the Torch Run.

The Torch Run is where law enforcement officers run the Special Olympics Opening Ceremonies Flame of Hope throughout the state of Illinois.

Law enforcement ran the Flame of Hope throughout Oswego on June 12 while it was on its way to Bloomington/Normal, Illinois into Redbird Stadium.
