Oswego Police: Traffic Enforcement Results

The extra traffic enforcement detail conducted by the Oswego Police Department was provided by a Step Grant.

The Oswego Police Department recently concluded their extra traffic enforcement detail, which was funded through a Step Grant provide by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The enforcement period, which was conducted between Dec. 21 and January 1 focused on the use of seat belts and driving under the influence.

Police wrote citations for the following violations:

  • 30- safety belt
  • 2- speeding
  • 1- child restraint
  • 1 – uninsured motorist
  • 1 – drug arrest

Oswego Police will continue to apply for grants to fund extra patrols, which assist in providing for the safety of those traveling throughout the village.
