Over $700 Worth of Baby Formula Stolen: Police

Tuesday, Dec. 10

No valid driver’s license

Job Martinez, 30, of the 800 block of Fourth Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. in the 2500 block of Route 34 and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police. He was also cited for no insurance and improper registration.

Monday, Dec. 9

Retail theft

Oswego police took a report of retail theft that occurred at 2 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34. $749 worth of baby formula was reported stolen. The incident is under investigation.

Sunday, Dec. 8

Warrant

  • Stephen V. Richards, 24, of the 1400 block of Swallow Street, Naperville, was arrested at 10:36 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Stonehill Road on a warrant, said Oswego police.
  • Tyler C. Eubanks, 21, of the 500 block of Woodland Way, Oswego, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. at Douglas and Wooley on an outstanding failure to appear warrant, said Oswego police. 

Hit and run

Oswego police responded to a reported hit and run property damage accident that occurred between 10 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 8 in the 2000 block of Farmington Lakes. Damage was reported at more than $1,500.

Saturday, Dec. 7

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run accident that occurred between 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the 600 block of Mansfield Way. Damage is estimated at $1,000.

Retail theft, unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor

A female juvenile was arrested at 12:38 a.m. at Oswego’s Walmart and charged with retail theft of less than $50 and the unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor, said Oswego police.

Friday, Dec. 6

Warrant

Ryan P. Otteron, 25, of the 200 block of Therbury, Oswego, was arrested at 1:04 a.m. in the 4000 block of Route 71 on an in state warrant, said Oswego police.

Battery

Oswego police took a report for battery that occurred at 1 a.m. in the 4000 block of Route 71.

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot of Crazy Bull on Dec. 5. The victim reported being hit by a car and went to the hospital with minor injuries.

Credit card fraud

  • Oswego police took a report for credit card fraud that occurred on Nov. 23. Someone used the victim’s credit card to make purchases totaling $250 in the 2300 block of Route 34.
  • Oswego police took a report for credit card fraud that occurred on Nov. 6. The victim reported her wallet and credit cards stolen, and the credit cards were charged for an undisclosed amount.

Theft

Oswego police took a report of theft that occurred at an unknown date in the 800 block of Columbus Drive, Oswego. Approximately $1,000 worth of tools were stolen from a trailer.

Thursday, Dec. 5                                                       

DUI

James Warren Verden Jr., 48, of the 900 block of Brookside, Marengo, was arrested at 8:43 p.m. at Routes 34 and 71 and charged with driving under the influence, said Oswego police. He was also cited improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic control device and the illegal transportation of alcohol.

Disorderly conduct

A female juvenile, 14, was charged with disorderly conduct that happened at Oswego High School, said Oswego police.

Wednesday, Dec. 4

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run accident that occurred at 2:14 p.m. at Route 34 and Route 31. The victim reported that a female driving a black SUV struck the rear of her vehicle and did not stop to exchange information.
