Pedestrian Killed in Crash in Downtown Aurora Early Sunday

An unidentified victim was killed  when he was struck by a SUV in downtown Aurora  shortly before 4 a.m. on Sunday after he'd been walking southbound on Broadway Avenue near Spring Street, according to the Daily Herald. 
The victim, who is described as a Hispanic male in his late 30s or 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the SUV, Cherise Wardlow, 39, of Montgomery, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to the article.
