Plainfield Man Charged with Felony Theft From Oswego Business

Fredric W. Magis, 47, has been charged with a class 2 felony.

A Plainfield man was charged with theft after police received a report earlier this month that an employee of an Oswego business had used company credit cards to conduct several unauthorized transactions.

Spurred by a Dec. 14 report from the business' owner, the Oswego Police Department's initial investigation led officers to discover more than $10,000 in losses to the company in the first block of Stonehill Road since January 2010.

Fredric W. Magis, 47, of Plainfield was charged with theft and arrested Dec. 19 at his home with a warrant, after charges were authorized on Dec. 16.
