Police at Plank Junior High Tuesday Afternoon

Situation was for a single student, no cause for alarm.

For anyone who saw police cars and emergency vehicles in the Plank Junior High parking lot around 3 p.m., Oswego Police say there is no cause for alarm.

A call went out on the scanner for a student that was threatening to harm themself in the school office.

As standard procedure, police respond to the scene to make sure the student safely boarded an ambulance and was brought to a local hospital for evaluation, said police spokesman Rob Sherwood.
