Police Blotter: Battery at IHOP, Garden Gnome Through Car Window, DUI Arrest

July 9

Tyree Pryor, 35, of the 700 block of Route 31, Oswego, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff's police and charged with criminal damage to property and driving on a suspended license, according to a police report.

July 10

Rosa M. Gallegos, 43, of the 500 block of West New York Street, Aurora, was stopped at Washington and Franklin Streets for allegedly texting and driving, Oswego police said. Gallegos was given a warning for that offense, but charged with driving without a valid license or insurance, police said.

A resident in the 0-100 block of Hubbard Way in unincorporated Montgomery said someone threw a garden gnome through the rear window of his 2008 Chevy Malibu, causing $1,000 in damage, Kendall County Sheriff's police said.

July 11

Courtney Frost, 26, of the 1600 block of Light Road, Oswego, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff's police at 2000 Orchard Road and charged with forgery, obstructing identification and driving on a suspended license, according to Kendall County Sheriff's police. Police said Frost was stopped for driving 53 mph in a 30 mph zone and arrested for driving on a suspended license. At the jail, it was determined that Frost originally gave deputies a false name. He was then charged with forgery for signing paperwork in the wrong name, obstructing identification and driving with a suspended license, as well as being cited for speeding, police said. Frost also had a Kane County warrant for failure to appear in court on a domestic battery charge, according to police reports.

July 12

Michael L. Jenkins, 52, of the 700 block of Duncan Drive, Aurora, was arrested by Oswego police at Route 34 and Chicago Road and charged with DUI, police said.

Laura Parra-Castro, 28, of the 100 block of Oliver Court, Schaumburg, was arrested by Oswego police and charged with battery after allegedly battering a 26-year-old man at IHOP, 2850 Route 34, according to police reports.
