Oswego-area police reports, April 21-23

Saturday, April 23

Fleeing police
Shane Seidelman, 32, of 9 Sedgwick Court in Oswego, was charged with criminal trespass to property, disorderly conduct, obstructing a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana after the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to 8 Greenfield Road at about 3 a.m. Saturday for a report of someone banging on a window of the home. When deputies arrived, they said they saw Seidelman walking away from the home. Seidelman then led deputies on a short foot chase before he was caught, according to reports. Seidelman was found with a small metal pipe and small amount of marijuana, deputies said.

Retail theft
Brian Castle, 21, of 311 Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill, was charged with retail theft at about 1 a.m. April 23 at 2300 Route 34, according to an Oswego police report. According to the report, less than $300 worth of merchandise was taken.

Battery to a police officer
Alonte Smith, 18, of 107 Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill, was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and in connection with an in-state warrant at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Smith was taken into custody on two warrants and upon being arrested, spat on the arresting officer, according to the report.

Friday, April 22

Home burglarized
A home in the 100 block of Fox Chase Drive South was broken into sometime before noon April 22, according to an Oswego police report. About $180 worth of items were taken from the home, the report said.

Marijuana possession
Lauren J. Bittenbinder, 19, of 100 Brockway in Oswego, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 1:35 a.m. April 22 at Brockway and Brook Court, according to an Oswego police report. She was given a June 3 court date.

Domestic battery
Martha Garcia, 45, of 120 Boulderhill Pass in Boulder Hill, was charged with domestic battery at about 2:10 p.m. Aprill 22 at her home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Garcia was taken into custody after deputies discovered she had pushed a female in the home and pulled her hair, according to the report.

Thursday, April 21

Domestic battery
A 16-year-old boy was charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery at about 12:30 p.m. April 21 in the 600 block of Northgate Drive, according to an Oswego police report.

Child pornography investigation
Oswego police were called to Oswego High School at about 9:40 a.m. April 21 for a complaint of an underage student in possession of child pornographic material, according to an Oswego Police Department report. No other information was given.
