Sunday, June 5

Theft from vehicles

Oswego Police reported a string of six car break-ins along the 500 block of Sudberry Court overnight Saturday. Stolen items included GPS units, iPods and wallets. In all, about $7,100 worth of items were taken.

Animal torture

Oswego police took a report of animal torture from the 600 block of Manhattan Circle at about 6:20 p.m. June 5. According to the police report, a man reportedly used an explosive to kill a turtle. No further information was given in the report.

Saturday, June 4

Garage sale rip-offs

Oswego police reported several residents in the Heritage subdivision were taken by someone passing counterfeit $20 at neighborhood garage sales Saturday. The incidents are under investigation, and about $140 was lost in total.

DUI

Michelle Clement, 25, 94 Timberlake Trail, Oswego, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving the wrong way at about 2:10 a.m. Saturday at Douglas Road and Route 30, according to an Oswego police report. She was given a July 8 court date.

Thursday, June 2

Theft from vehicles

A resident in the 100 block of 148 Pineridge Drive reported a GPS unit and an iPhone were taken from his unlocked vehicle sometime before Thursday, according to an Oswego Police report. No loss estimate was given. That same night in the same neighborhood two more cars were broken into on Holly Lane. No loss estimate was given in that incident either. Two other nearby residents also reported break-ins to their unlocked vehicles with unspecified items missing.

Wednesday, June 1

Theft

A resident in the 200 block of Bluegrass Parkway reported to Oswego police that someone broke into his garage sometime between May 28 and Wednesday and took about $1,900 worth of property. The incident is still under investigation.
