Monday, June 11

Paraphernalia, part one

An unnamed female juvenile was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 8:35 p.m. on Millstream Lane at Washington Street, Oswego police said.

Charles Logue, 56, of Cleveland, Ohio, was charged with possession of marijuana and criminal trespass to property at 11:08 p.m. in the 100 block of Douglas Road in Oswego, Oswego police said.

Sunday, June 10

Paraphernalia, part two

Lawrence Turner IV, 22, of Plainfield, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 3:13 a.m. on Route 30, Oswego police said. Turner was also charged with driving on a suspended license and having one light out, police said.

Saturday, June 9

Possession

Robert L. Davis, 56, of Chicago, was charged with possesion of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at 2:21 a.m. on Route 30 at Wolf Road, Oswego police said.

Street racing

A 16-year-old boy was injured when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a mailbox and then a tree after street racing at 9:33 p.m. on Wolverine Drive at White Owl Lane, Oswego police said. The boy was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, and no further information was available on his condition. The boy was charged with street racing, improper lane use, and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, police said.  A second boy, 17, was charged with street racing, driving without a registration, and violating his license classification, police said.

Friday, June 8

Drugs and paraphernalia

Jeffrey Manelis, 25, of the 300 block of Mulhern Court in Yorkville, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 12:17 a.m. on Route 31 at Light Road, Oswego police said.

Who does that?

Someone keyed a car parked in the 2000 block of Farmington Lakes Drive sometime before 8 a.m., Oswego police said. Damage is estimated at $300, police said.

Gun in dashboard

Robert Davis, 40, of the 800 block of Monroe Street in Carpentersville, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon after Oswego police discovered a gun in his dashboard after a traffic stop at 9:56 a.m. on Douglas Road at Saugatuck Road, Oswego police said. Davis’ multiple prior convictions led to the felony charge, police said.

Stolen purse and laptop

Oswego police are investigating a report that someone stole a purse and a laptop from a car parked in the 200 block of Ogden Falls sometime between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The car was also damaged during the robbery, police said.

Leaving the scene

James Arnold, 60, of the 100 block of Saugatuck Road in Montgomery, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to give his information at 9:15 p.m. on Merchants Drive at Fernwood Drive, Oswego police said.

Thursday, June 7

The kids are not all right

Five teenagers were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor after a traffic stop at 2:22 a.m. on Lombardy Lane at Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego police said. Driver David Hulett, 19, of the 1200 block of Pearl Street in Aurora, was also charged with driving on a suspended license and disobeying a traffic signal, police said. His passengers, all charged, were Cal Wagner, 19, of the 4000 block of Hoffman Drive in Plano; William Templin, 19, of the 0-99 block of Ashlawn Avenue in Oswego; Kendall Collier, 18, of the 100 block of Linden Drive in Oswego (see June 6 for more on him); and an unnamed 17-year-old boy, police said.

Drunken driving

Kathryn Lange, 28, of the 1600 block of Fredericksburg Lane in Aurora, was charged with drunken driving and driving in the wrong lane after a traffic stop at midnight on Route 30 at Proclamation Drive, Oswego police said.

Wednesday, June 6

Paraphernalia, part three

Adam Murrell, 18, of the 1500 block of Ashford Court in Wheaton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 7:53 p.m. on Fifth Street at Route 30, Oswego police said.

Drinking teens

Two male teenagers were charged with possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor at 10:20 p.m. at Jewel on Route 30, Oswego police said.

Been caught stealing

Kendall Collier, 18, of the 100 block of Linden Drive in Oswego, was charged with retail theft at 11:34 p.m. at a store in the 2300 block of Route 34, Oswego police said.

Tuesday, June 5

Hit and run

Oswego police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that caused more than $1,500 in damage at 8:24 p.m. on Old Post Road at Angela Circle.
