Police Blotter: Drugs, Forgery and Exploiting the Elderly

Drugs
Kwame Caldwell, 18, of the 100 block of Preakness Drive in Oswego, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at 12:40 a.m. on Longbeach Road at Sonora Drive in Boulder Hill, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. Caldwell was initially stopped for not having a rear registration light, police said.
Paraphernalia

Brian McWilough Jr., 25, of the 4100 block of Chesapeake Drive in Aurora, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at 11:30 p.m. on Route 30 at Wolf Road, Oswego police said.
Forgery

Three checks were reported stolen from a business in Bristol in June and forged at a business in the 3200 block of Orchard Road sometime before 4:46 p.m., Oswego police said.

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a case of financial exploitation of the elderly that was reported at 5:29 p.m. in the 100 block of Riverview Court in Oswego. Police said that on July 13, two men came to the door and asked to sealcoat the homeowner’s driveway. When they were finished, police said, they asked for an extremely high amount of money, and during the subsequent discussion, they suggested entering the house, which made the homeowner uneasy. Police are investigating the incident.
