Aug. 29

Domestic battery

Kristen Lawson, 25, of 369 Chesapeake Lane in Oswego, was charged with domestic battery at about 7 p.m. Monday at her home, according to an Oswego police report. She was given an Oct. 14 court date.

DUI

Renee Vanden Houten, 41, of 213 Stonemill Lane, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle accident around 5:30 p.m. Monday at Route 71 and Bell Court, according to an Oswego police report. She was given a Sept. 14 court date.

Aug. 27

Marijuana possession

Ruford Acklin, 21, of Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana at about 11:55 p.m. Saturday near routes 30 and 34, according to an Oswego police report. He was given an Oct. 14 court date.

Juvenile alcohol possession

A 16-year-old Aurora girl was charged with retail theft and possession of alcohol by a minor around 10 p.m. Saturday at 2300 Route 34, Oswego police said. No court date information was available.

Heroin possession

Renee M. Olsen, 19, 422 Lennox Drive, Oswego, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of  a hypodermic syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia, no seat belt, no insurance and driving while license suspended at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Chicago Road and Route 25, according to an Oswego Police report. She was given an Oct. 14 court date.

Aug. 26

Burglary

Oswego Police are investigating a residential burglary reported in the 300 block of Essex Drive sometime before 2:15 p.m. Aug. 26. An iPad worth $700 was taken from the home, according to the police report.

ATV taken

Oswego police are investigating the theft of a Kawasaki ATV Quad from Modern Muscle, 61 Kendall Point Drive, Oswego, sometime before 10:20 a.m. Aug. 26. The ATV is valued at about $2,500.

Aug. 25

Battery arrests

Austin Decowski, 21, a 17-year-old boy, and Bonny Flerlage, 42, all of 35 Royce Road, Oswego, were all charged on various counts after a fight at about 12:15 a.m. Aug. 25 at Douglas Road and Bluegrass Parkway, according to an Oswego police report. Police said Decowski was charged with aggravated battery, domestic battery and resisting a police officer; the juvenile was charged with aggravated assault and obstructing a police officer; and Flerlage was charged with aggravated battery and obstructing police. Decowski was given a Sept. 23 court date.
