Police Blotter: Over $2,000 of Perfume Reported Stolen, Many More Retail Thefts

Wednesday, Jan. 23

In-state warrant

Maxwell Black, 22, of the 500 block of Spires was arrested at 5:15 a.m. in the 300 block of Essex and charged with an in-state warrant, said Oswego Police.

Kurtis M. Behm,  21, of the 400 block of Newport Circle was arrested at 6:50 p.m. in the 3500 block of Route 34 and charged with an in-state warrant, said Oswego police.

Robbery

Oswego police are investigating a robbery incident that took place at 11:29 a.m. at Douglas and Long Beach. A victim reported that two male Hispanic men approached him and threw him down, prior to taking his phone. No injuries were reported.

Theft

  • Oswego police are investigating a reported vehicle theft that occurred on Jan. 19 in the 2400 block of Route 30. The victim reported a vehicle was stolen without their permission.
  • Oswego police are investigating a reported theft of gasoline that occurred at 6:52 a.m. in the 4000 block of Route 34. $30 was reported stolen.

Monday, Jan. 21

Fraud

Oswego police are investigating an incident of reported fraud that occurred on Jan. 16 on Craigslist. A loss of $1,200 was reported.

Hit and run

Oswego police are investigating a reported hit and run that occurred at 4:05 p.m. at Douglas Road and Route 34. A black in color Saab struck a vehicle in the intersection and then left the scene. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact the Oswego Police Department Traffic Team at 630-551-7300.

Sunday, Jan. 20

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police are investigating a reported criminal damage to property that occurred at 6:58 p.m. in the 100 block of Wilson Place. Around $300 was reported in damages.

Saturday, Jan. 19

No valid driver’s license

  • Josabet L. Jardivies, 19, of the 400 block of Chestnut Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 1:46 p.m. at Route 71 and Main Street and charged with driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. She was also charged for speeding.
  • Deborah A. Spidle, 54, of the 2400 block of Thunder Gulch, Montgomery, was arrested at 4:04 p.m. at Mill and Orchard Road and charged with driving without a valid license, said Oswego Police. She was also charged for speeding.
  • Dominguez Domingo, 24, of the 700 block of Kane Street, Aurora, was arrested at 7:00 p.m. at Route 30 and Wolf Road and charged with driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.

Theft

  • Oswego Police are investigating a reported credit card theft that occurred on Dec. 12, 2012. The victim reported unauthorized charges totaling $3,973.07.
  • Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred when an offender opened an account under a victim’s name and made $971.42 in charges.

Retail theft

Oswego police are investigating a reported retail theft that occurred on Jan. 18 at 8:50 p.m. in the 2500 block of Route 34. An unknown female suspect reportedly stole $2,401.49 worth of perfume from a retail location.

Domestic battery

A female juvenile, 17, was arrested at 2:58 p.m. at Waterbury Circle and Ogden Falls Boulevard and charged with domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Friday, Jan. 18

Identity theft

Oswego police took a report for an identity theft that occurred in the 200 block of Bluegrass Parkway.

Retail theft

Jennifer L. Holich, 24, of the 400 block of East Duffy Road, Waterman, was arrested at 2:42 p.m. in the 2700 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft, said Oswego police.

Thursday, Jan. 17

Hit and run

Oswego police responded to a reported hit and run that occurred at an unknown time in a parking lot at Route 34 and Pearce’s Ford. A legally parked car was struck and resulted in $300 plus of damage.

Retail theft, drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest

Tyrone L. Jackson, 40, of the 100 block of Vermont Street, Aurora, was arrested at 4:28 a.m. ain the 2500 block of Route 34 and charged with two counts of retail theft, resisting arrest and drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

No valid driver’s license

  • Jesus Quintana, 41, of the 1000 block of 2nd Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 10:34 p.m. at Route 34 and Fifth Street and charged with driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.
  • Miriam Tochimani, 21, of the 1200 block of Grove Street, Aurora, was arrested at 9:36 p.m. at Route 30 and Wolf and charged for driving without a valid license and no insurance, said Oswego police.

Failure to appear warrant

Nora F. Cahue, 38, of the 600 block of South Avon Court, Oswego, was arrested at 9:03 p.m. at Long Beach Road and South Avon Court and charged for a failure to appear warrant, said Oswego police. She was also charged with speeding.
