Police Blotter: Juvenile Charged with Alcohol Consumption at High School

Alcohol consumption at school
A 17-year-old Aurora girl was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor at about 8:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at Oswego East High School, according to an Oswego police report. The student was released to her parents.

Friday, Feb. 25

Copper theft
The owner of an unoccupied home in the 400 block of Raintree Drive reported the home was broken into sometime before 1:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and copper was stolen, according to an Oswego police report. No value was given on the stolen copper or the damage done to the home.

Thursday, Feb. 24

Burglary
Ultimate Sports Dome, 100 Business Route 30,  Aurora, reported a break-in and burglary from overnight Feb. 24, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Deputies discovered someone forced their way into the building, stole several items and caused a considerable amount of damage. The incident remains under investigation, according to the report.

Marijuana possession
Joeseph Bocek, 25, 26 Windgate Circle, Oswego was charged with possession of marijuana at about 6:40 p.m. Feb. 24 after being stopped at Route 34 and Orchard Road in connection with speeding, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. During the traffic stop, deputies said they smelled marijuana and conducted a search. Marijuana was found in Bocek’s car and in his pants, the report said.

Wednesday, Feb. 23

Retail theft
Two Aurora teens were charged with retail theft at about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23 after Oswego police were called to Walmart, according to reports. No value was given on the items taken.

Minor with alcohol
A male juvenile from Oswego was charged with possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor at about 8:30 a.m. Feb. 23, according to an Oswego police report. The juvenile was stopped near Route 71 and Wolf’s Crossing Road, police said.
