Police Blotter: Juvenile Hit With Weapons Charge

Weapons charge

A 16-year-old boy was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 0-99 block of Winrock Road, in unincorporated Oswego Township, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Deputies responded to Winrock Park for a report of a person with a weapon. It was determined the juvenile had used a small knife to threaten others. He was taken into custody.

Monday, May 30

Criminal damage           

Nicholas Stadler, 20, of 24 Chatham Road, Montgomery, was charged with criminal damage to property at about 2:20 a.m. Monday at 82 Saugatuck Road in unincorporated Oswego Tonwship, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Deputies responded to Saugatuck Road in reference to a domestic dispute. When they arrived deputies said they discovered Stadler had damaged a car mirror and several items in the residence, the report said. He also was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor when deputies discovered he had been drinking, the report said.

Domestic battery

James Szymczak 43, 407 Gravpevine Trail, Oswego, was charged with domestic battery at about midnight Sunday in the 200 block of Concord Drive, Oswego, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Deputies were called to Concord Drive per the request of the Oswego Police Department for a report of a domestic battery, the report said.

Weapon possession

Convicted felon Robert Scrutchens, 36, of Bolingbrook, was charged with possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of marijuana with intent to desitrube  and possession of marijuana at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday at Route 30 and Fifth Street, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Scrutchens was stopped after failing to signal a turn. A search of his vehicle yielded three stun guns and several bags of marijuana, the report said.
