Underage drinking
Kara D. Mantzke, 19, of 431 Badger Court, Oswego, was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor at about 3:15 a.m. at Route 31 and Mill Road, according to an Oswego police report. She was given a court date of May 13.

Friday, March 25

Retail theft
Terrie L. Trettenero, 40, of 1700 Light Road, Oswego, was charged with retail theft after being caught shoplifting at Oswego Walmart at about 5 p.m., according to an Oswego police report.

DUI
Denny R. Bastenberg, 56, of Big Rock, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and having open alcohol in his car at about 10:30 p.m. at Route 30 and Fifth Street, according to an Oswego police report.

Burglary to a vehicle
Oswego police are investigating a burglary to a vehicle that occurred between 2 and 4 p.m. at 2600 Route 34. According to a report, someone smashed a window on the car and stole a purse and a GPS unit. The items were valued at $280.

Resisting a police officer
Scott Arado, 21, of 2300 Light Road in unincorporated Oswego, was charged with resisting a peace officer at about 5:30 p.m. after the Kendall County Sheriff's Office was called to his home for a report he was using heroin, according to a police report. Upon arrival, deputies found several items of drug paraphernalia in the home, the report said. Arado was taken into custody after resisting and taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for treatment, the report said. He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wednesday, March 23

Broken car window
An Aurora woman reported to Oswego police that her car window was broken out sometime during the night Wednesday. The incident occurred in the first block of Crofton Court, according to the police report. No damage estimate was given.

DUI
Jennifer C. Chivari, 30, 142 Circle Drive West, Montgomery, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to signal when required at about 1:15 a.m. at Route 34 and Chicago Road, according to an Oswego police report. She was given an April 13 court date.

Disorderly conduct
Mark J. Haywood, 49, of Spring Valley, was charged with disorderly conduct after making lewd comments to an juvenile females in the parking lot of the Route 34 McDonald's at about 1:15 p.m., according to an Oswego police report.

Man disrobes in front of employee
An employee at a business at 1600 Douglas Road reported a white, 50-year-old man wearing baggie khaki cargo pants and and tan-and-black flannel shirt entered the business at about 4:30 p.m. and began removing his clothes, according to an Oswego police report. The suspect is described as having gray hair and about 5-feet, 9-inches tall.
