Domestic battery

 
Melvin A. Davis, 46, 301 Waterbury Circle, Oswego, was charged with domestic battery, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 11 p.m. May 2 in his home, according to an Oswego Police report. The report said police were called to the house for a domestic battery and saw the marijuana and paraphernalia were out in plain view.

Sunday, May 1

Theft


Kendall 10 Theater, 95 Fifth St., reported about $450 in cash missing at about 3 p.m. May 2. According to the Oswego Police report, employees said the money was missing from one of the box office drawers, and it appeared that a cashier was taken for the cash in a quick-change scam. The incident is under investigation.

Saturday, April 30

Disorderly conduct


Oswego Police are investigating a report of disorderly conduct and assault that occurred in the parking lot of the Fox Bend Golf Course at about 3 p.m. Saturday. No arrests were made, but police are looking for a black woman in her 30s, weighing about 150 pounds and 5-feet 6-inches tall. She was seen wearing a gray T-shirt, according to the police report.

Marijuana, alcohol possession


Richard R. Smith, 20, 277 Springbrook Trail South, Oswego was charged with possession of marijuana at about 2:24 a.m. April 30, according to an Oswego Police report. At the same time, his neighbor Edward M. Kohlegik, 20, 289 Springbrook Trail South, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, the report said. The arrests took place at 273 Springbrook Trail South, according to the report.

Friday, April 29

Battery


Oswego Police are investigating a battery alleged by a 16-year-old juvenile that took place around April 25 at Oswego High School. The incident was reported to police at about 11 a.m. Friday, the report said.

Domestic battery at OEHS


Daniel C. Coleman, 18, 2070 William Drive, Montgomery, was charged with domestic battery at about 1 p.m. Friday at Oswego East High School, according to an Oswego Police report. He was given a May 17 court date.

Thursday, April 28

Battery at Plank Junior High


A 14-year-old boy was charged with battery at about 3 p.m. Thursday at Plank Junior High, according to an Oswego Police report. He was released to his parents.

Wednesday, April 27

Possession of a stolen vehicle


A 16-year-old boy was charged with possession of stolen vehicle in the 400 block of Hackney Lane at about 2:20 p.m. April 17, according to an Oswego Police report. He was released to a parent.

April 26

Self storage facility ransacked

Oswego Police are investigating the breaking into April 26-27 storage lockers at Kendall Point Self Storage, 1960 Wiesbrook Drive. According to Oswego Police spokesman Rob Sherwood, numerous items were stolen and police are still in the process of taking an inventory of the stolen items. Sherwood said lockers that were broken into all were protected with locks that were easily cut with bolt cutters, and cutters were found on the scene.

Domestic battery


Mark Sanders, 31, of Bellwood, was charged with domestic battery after an incident at about 8 a.m. April 26 at 4390 Route 71, according to an Oswego Police report. He was given a May 13 court date.

April 24

Thefts along Springbrook Trail South

Oswego Police are investigating two thefts from vehicles that both occurred in the 200 block of Springbrook Trail South sometime overnight April 23-24, according to a police report. One vehicle had a GPS unit, and IPASS sensor stolen from it, while another had a Sony car stereo faceplate, iPod Touch and garage door opener stolen. That same evening a vehicle was stolen from the same block, according to the report.

April 20

Marijuana arrests

Three 17-year-old boys were charged with possession of marijuana at about noon April 20 at Oswego East High School, according to an Oswego Police report. Two of the teens were from Oswego and the other from Aurora. One of the teens was charged with possession with intent to deliver while another also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the report. Salvador Becerra, 18, of 2732 Jenna Circle, Montgomery, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana that same day at OEHS, according to the report. He was given a May 10 court date.
