Tuesday, Sept. 25

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Sean P. Richards, 22, of the 100 block of Nottingham, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. at Route 31 and Mill and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia, said the Oswego Police Department.

Vernon S.. Young II, 37, of the 300 block of Chicago Road, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. at Route 34 and Boulder Hill Pass and charged with a failure to appear warrant, said Oswego police.

Monday, Sept. 24

Attempted residential burglary, criminal trespass to property

Daniel T. Magic, 19, of the 400 block of S. Main Street, was arrested at 12:55 p.m. at Douglas and Maple and charged with attempted residential burglary and criminal trespass to property, said Oswego police.

Residential theft

Oswego police responded to a report of a residential theft that occurred at an unknown time in the 300 block of Douglas. $300 worth of jewelry was taken from the residence.

Vehicle burglary

Oswego police responded to a report of a motor vehicle burglary that occured at an unknown time that day in the 400 block of Windsor Avenue.

Sunday, Sept. 23

Failure to appear warrant, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia

Marcus Fanaro, 22, of the 500 block of Vermillion, Gary, Indiana, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. at Douglas and Old Post and charged with a failure to appear warrant, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police.

Saturday, Sept. 22

No valid driver’s license

Miriah K. Williams, 21, of the 400 block of Fayette Drive was arrested at 3:07 a.m. at Route 34 and Douglas and charged with driving with no valid driver’s license, said Oswego police. She was also charged with having no plate light.

Unlawful consumption and possession of alcohol by a minor

Martin Garza, 20, of the 1800 block of Blue Ridge Drive, Plainfield, was arrested at 2:57 a.m. at Washington and Route 71 and charged with the unlawful consumption and possession of alcohol by a minor, said Oswego police. He was also charged with having only one working headlight.

Friday, Sept. 21

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police responded to a report of criminal damage to property that occurred on Thursday, Sept. 20 at S. Adams and Van Buren. A couple of buildings were spray-painted, with damages estimated at $300.

Thursday, Sept. 20

Burglary to vehicle

Oswego police responded to a report of a burglary to a vehicle that occurred at an unknown time and day in the driveway in the 500 block of York Drive. Approximately $1,360 worth of personal belongings were taken from the vehicle.

Residential Burglary

  • Oswego police responded to a report of theft that occurred on an unknown day in the 600 block of Manhattan Circle. An autographed football was reported stolen.
  • Oswego police responded to a report of a theft that occurred at an unknown time in the 600 block of Manhattan Circle. A copper pipe was stolen from a house.

Theft

Oswego police responded to a report of theft that occurred at 6 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34. The victim reported that they walked away from their purse while shopping and returned to find it missing. The purse was recovered but $30 was taken.

Damage to property

  • Oswego police responded to a report of criminal damage to property that occurred at 3:49 p.m. in the 200 block of Fox Chase Drive North. Two flower planters located in the playground behind the location had been spray painted and damaged. The case is under investigation.
  • Oswego police responded to a report of damage to property that occurred sometime on Wednesday, Sept. 19 in the 2700 block of Route 34. An enter sign, valued at $1500, was damaged. 

Wednesday, Sept. 19

Residential Burglary

  • Oswego police responded to a report of a theft that occurred sometime between May and September in the 100 block of Chesterfield. About $3,050 worth of jewelry was taken from the residence.
  • Oswego police responded to a report of a theft that occurred at an unknown time in the 200 block of South Madison Street. Power tools, estimated at $450, were stolen from the property.

Theft

  • Oswego police responded to a report of a theft that occurred sometime between July 11 and Sept. 12 at the Dress Barn on Douglas. An amount of $529.81 was reported stolen.
  • Oswego police responded to a report of a bicycle theft that occurred between 8:20 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Fox Chase Drive South. The bike was stolen from outside Fox Chase Elementary, where it had been locked up.

Domestic battery

Joseph D. Holder, 20, of the 100 block of Springbrook Trail South was arrested at 2:14 p.m.at his house and charged with domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Damage to property

Oswego police responded to a report of damage to a vehicle that occurred at 2:15 a.m. in the 200 block of South Adams. The rear window of the vehicle was broken and the windshield was cracked with damages estimated at $600.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

Possession of cannabis

A male juvenile, 15, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. at Oswego High School and charged with the possession of cannabis, said Oswego police.

Disorderly contact

Two male juveniles, 16 and a17 years old, were arrested at 9 a.m. at Oswego High School and charged with disorderly conduct that occurred the day before around 3 p.m., said Oswego police.
