Disorderly conduct
Shane Bivins, 23, of Montgomery, was charged with disorderly conduct at about 2:20 a.m. in the 400 block of Burr Oak Drive, according to an report. He was given a Nov. 23 court date.

Mailboxes damaged

A number of mailboxes along Chicago Road were damaged by unknown means sometime before 8 a.m., according to an Oswego police report. The damage to one of the boxes was estimated at about $250.

Chemicals explosives thrown in yard

A resident in the 100 block of Cinderford Drive reported to Oswego police that someone threw four small chemical explosive devices in the home’s front yard on Nov. 1. No other information was listed in the report.
Wednesday, Nov. 2
Theft from an unlocked car
Someone entered an unlocked car parked in the 300 block of Lombardy Lane sometime before 7:30 p.m., according to an Oswego police report. The thief made off with about $100 worth of items, including a purse.
Wallet taken from car
Someone took a wallet from an unlocked car parked in the 400 block of Bayberry Drive sometime before 5:30 p.m., according to Oswego police. The thief then used the victim’s credit card to make about $20 worth of purchases, police reports said.
Hit and run
Oswego police are investigating a hit and run in the Walmart parking lot around 3 p.m. According to police, a 62-year-old Montgomery woman was struck by a car backing out of a parking space. The car left the scene, and was later found in Aurora. The woman was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for her injuries.
Tuesday, Nov. 1
Theft
Rodney R. Williams, 42, of Aurora, was charged with retail theft, resisting arrest and on an outstanding warrant at about 8 p.m. at Target, according to an Oswego police report. Williams tried to steal about $289 worth of merchandise, the report said. He was given a Dec. 9 court date.
Student strikes teacher
A student at Thompson Junior High struck a teacher and another staff member at about 10:30 a.m., according to Oswego police. No arrests were made, reports said.
