Police Break-Up Teen's Birthday Party

Officers from four departments called to Churchill Club.

A teenager’s birthday party quickly got out of hand Saturday night in the Churchill Club subdivision, requiring the response of four local police departments.

Officers from Oswego, Montgomery, Yorkville and Kendall County were all called to the Churchill Club clubhouse at about 10:25 p.m. for a fight in progress, said Rob Sherwood, Oswego Police media relations officer.

When police arrived they found about 200 teens in and around the clubhouse at 273 Bluegrass Parkway with some exchanging words but not fighting, Sherwood said.

“Most of the people were uninvited guests from Aurora,” Sherwood said. “Word of this party quickly spread on the Internet.”

No arrests were made and police worked for about 45 minutes to disperse the crowd.
