Tuesday, April 16

Trespassing to land

Donald A. Cox, 55, listed as homeless, was arrested at 12:36 p.m. in the 200 block of Douglas Road and charged with trespassing to land, said Oswego police.

Monday, April 15

Retail theft

Oswego police are investigating a reported retail theft that occurred at 6:05 a.m. at the Oswego Meijer, 2700 block of Route 34. $92.97 was reported stolen.

Sunday, April 14

Possession of cannabis, in-state warrant

Rick K. Henry Jr., 28, of the 11700 block of Glen Circle, Plainfield and Clark M. Gillespie, 27, of the 2900 block of Carlsbad Circle, Aurora, were arrested at 12:30 a.m. at Route 30 and Harvey, said Oswego police. Henry was charged with possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams and Gillespie was charged with an in-state warrant.

Hit and run

  • Oswego police took a report for a hit and run crash that occurred at 7:37 p.m. in a parking lot in the 200 block of Ogden Falls. A parked car was hit, with damages estimated at $1,500 plus.
  • Oswego police took a report of a hit and run that occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on April 13 and 2 a.m. on April 14 in the 100 block of Linden Drive. A vehicle drove over a mailbox and left the scene.  

No valid driver’s license

Antonio Nunez, 29, of the 2000 block of Fox Pointe Circle, Aurora, was arrested at 8:56 a.m. at Fifth Street and Route 34 and charged for driving without a valid license and improper display of license plate, said Oswego police.

Identity theft

Oswego police are investigating a reported identity theft that occurred at 12 p.m.

Saturday, April 13

Disorderly conduct

Oswego police are investigating a reported disorderly conduct that occurred at 8:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Truman Drive, Oswego.

Retail theft

Two juveniles were arrested at 7:57 p.m. at Route 34 and Fifth Street and charged with retail theft, said Oswego police.

Terry B. Washington, 40, of the 200 block of Abinton, North Aurora, and Ronnie T. Jordan, 41, of the 1200 block of Marshall, Aurora, were arrested at 2:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft, said Oswego police.

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run that occurred at 5:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the Oswego Red Robbin, 2800 block of Route 34. The offending vehicle struck a parked car and fled the scene.

Friday, April 12

Unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia

Alexandria L. Perez, 24, of the 0-99 block of Hubbard Way, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:42 a.m. at Ashlawn Avenue and Oak Lawn Avenue and charged with the unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police.

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police took a report of criminal damage to property that occurred between April 7 and April 9 in the 100 block of Croydon. A car tire was slashed, with damages estimated at $100. There are currently no witnesses or suspects.

No valid driver’s license

Leonardo Santana-Cruz, 34, of the 200 block of West Van Emmon, Yorkville, was arrested at 5:21 a.m. at Route 71 and Paradise Parkway and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.

Thursday, April 11

Warrant, no valid driver’s license

Troy G. Weeden, 44, of the 300 block of Barkeen Road, Dexter, Kentucky, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. at Orchard Road and Route 34 and charged with a warrant and driving without a license, said Oswego police. He was also cited for driving with no insurance, expired registration and a loud muffler.

Speeding 40mph plus, speeding in construction zone

George Flores, 36, of the 2500 block of Fitzgerald, Plainfield, was arrested at 11:51 p.m. at Route 30 and Goodwin and charged for driving more than 40 miles per hour over the speed limit and for speeding in a construction zone, said Oswego police.

Warrant

  • Angela L. Schmidt, 42, of the 400 block of Judith Circle, Oswego, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. at Judith Circle and Old Post Road and charged with an in-state warrant, said Oswego police.
  • Edgar Banks, 51, of the 1900 block of Tall Oaks Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. at Route 30 and Goodwin and charged with an in-state warrant, said Oswego police.
