Wednesday, May 1

Retail theft

Oswego police are investigating a reported retail theft of a video game system valued at $249.99 that was stolen on April 29 from a business in the 2900 block of Route 34.

Oswego police responded to a burglary to a motor vehicle that occured at 2:39 p.m. in the Oswego Wal-Mart parking lot. The owner of the vehicle left the windows down and someone removed currency, an iPod Touch and a cell phone. An image of the suspect is posted to this article. Anyone able to identify the suspect is asked to call Kendall County Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999 and possibly be eligible for a reward.

Domestic battery

A female juvenile, 15, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. at Fox Chase Drive and Century and charged with battery, said Oswego police.

Domestic battery, unlawful consumption of alcohol

A male juvenile, 17, was arrested at 11:31 p.m. in the 900 block of Jessamine and charged with domestic battery and the unlawful consumption of alcohol, said Oswego police.

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police responded to a reported criminal damage to property in which an unknown suspect threw a rock and broke a window at a residence in the 500 block of Northgate Circle at 11:57 p.m.

Identity theft

Oswego police took a report for an identity theft that occurred on April 25 in which the victim’s identity was used to obtain a credit card without permission.

Monday, April 29

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run that occurred at 6:38 p.m. at Devoe and Hawley in which an unknown vehicle struck a mailbox.

Theft

  • Oswego police responded to a reported theft that occurred at 11 a.m. at Oswego East High School. The victim reported property was taken from their gym locker.
  • Oswego police are investigating a reported retail theft that occurred at 4:45 p.m. at a business in the 2300 block of Route 34. Over $300 was reported stolen.
  • Police are investing a theft that occurred on April 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the 600 block of North Madison. The victim reported a theft by a tenant they had rented out to. The tenant took a washier and dryer with them when they moved out of the residence.
  • Michelle A. Alicea, 37, of the 200 block of Cedar Street, Aurora, was arrested at 5 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft of $348, said Oswego police.

Domestic battery

Christopher R. Stompanato, 24, of the 700 block of Versailles, Oswego, was arrested at 11:04 p.m. at Route 34 and Fifth Street and charged with domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Identity theft

  • Oswego police are investigating a reported identity theft that occurred on April 19. The victim reported their information was used to open a credit card without permission.
  • Oswego police are investigating a reported identity theft that occurred on April 25. The victim reported an unknown person(s) used their information without permission.

Sunday, April 28

Unauthorized possession of prescription form

Magan J. Toles, 20, of the 15 block of 137 Place, Riverdale, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. at the Oswego Meijer and charged with the unauthorized possession of a prescription form.

Theft

Oswego police responded to a reported theft of two iPods valued at $400 that occurred on April 21 in the 400 block of Blue Ridge Drive.

Saturday, April 27

Possession of cannabis, drug paraphernalia

A male juvenile, 17, was arrested at 8:16 p.m. in the 100 block of Chesterfield and charged with the unlawful possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Possession of cannabis

Antonio D. Diaz, 21, of the 300 block of South Broadway, Aurora, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. at Route 34 and Fifth Street and charged with the possession of cannabis, said Oswego police.

Retail theft

  • Oswego police took a report for a retail theft of electronics valued at over $500 that occurred on April 9 at the Oswego Wal-Mart.
  • Oswego police took a report for a retail theft over $500 that occurred on April 11 in the 2300 block of Route 34.

Friday, April 26

Theft

Oswego police are investigating the reported theft of a bicycle valued at $150 that occurred at an unknown time between April 26 and April 27 in the 700 block of Manhattan Circle.

Thursday, April 25

Battery

Oswego police responded to a reported battery that occurred at 6:22 a.m. in the 700 block of Blossom Court. No complaints were signed.

Driving on a revoked license

John J. Knauss, 44, of the 2300 block of Pagosa Springs Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 8:42 a.m. at Treasure Drive and Harvey Road and charged for driving on a revoked license, said Oswego police.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

One female juvenile, 17, and one male juvenile, 17, were arrested at 10:50 a.m. at Oswego High School and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia, said Oswego Police.

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run that occurred at 7:15 a.m. at Castway and Cebold that resulted in over $500 of damage when an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle.

Retail theft

John M. Hannes, 56, of the 400 block of Prairieview Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. in the 2700 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft of $22.88, said Oswego police. Correction: Patch has corrected the name of the offender.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Oswego police responded to a reported burglary to motor vehicle that occurred between 12 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Longbeach Road. A window was broken to gain entry to the vehicle, resulting in $75 worth of damages.

DUI, speeding

Curtis J. Bartlett, 36, of the 2700 block of Light Road, Oswego, was arrested at 1:39 a.m. at Franklin and Garfield and charged with driving under the influence and speeding, said Oswego police. He was also cited with improper lane usage.

Wednesday, April 24

Domestic battery

David Lopez, 38, of the 300 block of Chicago Road, Oswego, was arrested at 8:19 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery, said Oswego police.

No valid driver’s license, speeding

Christopher J. Cervantes, 24, of the 120 block of Douphin, Joliet, was arrested at 7:05 p.m. at Minkler and Hunt Club and charged with driving without a valid license, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, said Oswego police.

Burglary and damage to motor vehicle

Oswego police took a report for a burglary and criminal damage to a motor vehicle that occurred between 5:30 p.m. on April 23 and 5:30 a.m. on April 24 in the 100 block of Devoe Drive. A window on the victim’s truck was smashed and a laptop was stolen. Damage was estimated at $150 and the laptop was valued at $1,000.

Delivery of cannabis, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia

A male juvenile, 17, was arrested at 12:14 a.m. at Route 30 and Harvey Road and charged with the delivery of cannabis, possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis, said Oswego police.

Tuesday, April 23

Criminal damage to vehicle

  • Oswego police took a report for criminal damage to a motor vehicle that occurred between 11 p.m. on April 22 and 5:15 p.m. on April 23 in the 200 block of South Madison.
  • Oswego police took a report for criminal damage to a motor vehicle that occurred at 10:15 p.m. at Route 71 and Orchard Road. A vehicle driving on Route 71 was damaged by an object, with damages estimated at $1,000.

Monday, April 22

Theft

Oswego police are investigating a reported theft of an iPod valued at over $300 that occurred at 6:10 p.m. in the 700 block of Market Drive, Oswego. There are no suspects.
