Wednesday, July 3

Illegal consumption of alcohol

Maxwell Z. Soszko, 18, of the 600 block of Deli Lane, Yorkville, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. at Route 71 and Bell Lane and charged with the illegal consumption of alcohol, said Oswego police.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Oswego police took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred at an unknown time in the 400 block of Huntington Court. Someone entered a garage and removed items valued at $200 from a vehicle parked inside.

Residential burglary

Oswego police took a report for a residential burglary that occurred at an unknown time in the 200 block of Liszka Lane. Copper piping valued at $1500 was reported stolen.

No valid driver’s license

  • A male juvenile, 17, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. at Douglas Road and Long Beach Road and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. He was also cited for speeding.
  • Araceli Lopez-Monjaraz, 24, of the 0-99 block of North Anderson, Aurora, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. at Douglas and Old Post and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. She was also cited for speeding.

Burglary to motor vehicle

  • Oswego police took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the 200 block of Paradise Parkway. Someone entered the unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet valued at $20.
  • Oswego police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred on June 14 in the 0-99 block of Shamrock Road. A laptop valued at $1300 was stolen from a vehicle.

Trespass to motor vehicle

Oswego police took a report for trespass to a vehicle that occurred at an unknown time in the 300 block of Persimmon.

Criminal damage to property

  • Oswego police took a report for criminal damage to property that occurred between 6:15 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. in the 100 block of East Tyler Street. A bedroom door was damaged with estimated damage cost at $150.
  • Oswego police took a report for criminal damage to state supported property that occurred between 6 p.m. on July 1 and 5:30 a.m. on July 2 in the 3500 block of Route 34. Damages are estimated at over $300.

Monday, July 1

No valid driver’s license

Carlos Mora, 37, of the 1000 block of Tollview, Aurora, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. at Hill and Montgomery and charged for driving without a valid license and having no insurance, said Oswego police.

Dog bite

Oswego police took a report for a dog bite incident that occurred at 10:30 a.m.  in the 200 block of Fox Chase Drive North.

Retail theft, consumption of alcohol by a minor, aggressive obstructing/resisting, possession of alcohol

A male juvenile, 17, Kenneth Frank Newsome Jr., 17, of the 2600 block of Avron Lane, Montgomery; and Luis Roberto Morales Jr., 19, of the 3900 block of Grapevine Trail, Oswego, were arrested around 1:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 for a retail theft in progress. The juvenile was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. Newsome was charged with the felony of aggravated obstructing/resisting and consumption of alcohol. Morales was charged with retail theft and possession of alcohol by a minor.

Sunday, June 30

Possession of cannabis, drug paraphernalia

Austin H. Leech, 18, of the 1200 block of Ivy Court, Montgomery; and a female juvenile, 17, was arrested at 6:52 p.m. at Route 71 and Orchard Road, said Oswego police. Leech was charged with the possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, driving on the shoulder and improper lane usage. The juvenile was charged with the possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police.

Saturday, June 29

DUI

Jerome E. Sterling, 36, of the 500 block of Coventry Court, Oswego, was arrested at 9:53 p.m. in the 2000 block of Orchard Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, speeding and no insurance, said Oswego police.

DUI, NVDL, warrant

Jennifer L. Koreen, 31, of the 100 block of North Adams, Oswego, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. at North and Madison and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid license and a warrant, said Oswego police. She was also cited for screeching tires and failure to signal.

DUI, unlawful consumption of alcohol, fraudulent ID

Uriel Cruz, 18, of the 0-99 block of Winterhill, Montgomery; and Paula A. Mesqueda, 20, of the 0-99 block of Winterhill, Montgomery, were arrested at 4:15 a.m. at Route 30 and Douglas Road, said Oswego police. Cruz was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and the unlawful consumption of alcohol. Mesqueda was charged with the unlawful consumption of alcohol and the possession of a fraudulent ID card.

Fraudulent money

Oswego police took a report for fraudulent money being passed at 2:07 a.m. at a retail establishment in the 1100 block of Route 34.

Thursday, June 27

Theft of lost or mislaid property

Oswego police took a report for the theft of lost or mislaid property that occurred at an unknown time at the Oswego Wal-Mart. The victim reported misplacing her cell phone valued at $629.99 and it was reported stolen.

Battery

  • A female juvenile, 17, was arrested at 12 p.m. in the 100 block of Chicago Road and charged with domestic battery, said the Sheriff’s office.
  • Donna L. Mayer, 40, of the 100 block of East Jackson Street, Oswego, was arrested at 1:25 p.m. at her residence and charged with battery, said Oswego police.

Retail theft

Oswego police took a report for retail theft that occurred at 10:35 a.m. in the 2500 block of Route 34. Merchandise totaling $490.25 was stolen.

No valid driver’s license

Martin Cielo-Ramirez, 24, of the 400 block of Ashland Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 8:10 a.m. at Orchard Road and Mill and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.

Wednesday, June 26

Residential burglary

Oswego police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred at 10:35 a.m. in the 200 block of Liszka. Two subjects were spotted in the basement of a home for sale stealing copper pipe by a realtor checking up on the home.

Theft

Oswego police took a report for theft that occurred at 6:35 a.m. in the 300 block of Stoneleigh. Someone entered the victim’s open garage and took a GPS unit valued at $185 from an unlocked car.
