Second Accident at Route 30 and Treasure with Injuries in Last Week

Incidents happened on Saturday, Nov. 17 and Wednesday, Nov. 21.

The intersection of Route 30 and Treasure Drive has not been kind to drivers in the last week.

Two separate accidents with injuries have occurred at the intersection, one on and another on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

The most recent incident occurred early Wednesday at 8:07 a.m. during what the National Weather Service was calling a dense fog advisory.

Oswego Police Department said the first car was heading east on Treasure Drive at Route 30 and attempted to turn left onto Route 30. A second car was traveling on Route 30 and was hit on the front driver’s side door by the first car.

Oswego police said the driver of car one did not see the other vehicle due to the fog.

Both drivers were reported with injuries and taken to Rush Copley Medical Center. Both vehicles were also towed.

Just a few days earlier a two-car accident occurred on Saturday evening and resulted in one car rolling over. The three individuals in the car that rolled over were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Oswego Fire Battalion Chief Jeff Warren.
