Sheriff: Drunken Driver Hits Retaining Wall, Returns Home

Oswego man hit with a bevy of charges.

A 20-year-old Oswego man driving under the influence of alcohol drove his car into a brick retaining wall on Light Road and then left the scene to return home, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Austin Henry Willmann, 20, of 419 Badger Lane, drove his car into a brick retaining wall at 2500 Light Road on Friday, Oct. 12 at 12:31 a.m.

He proceeded to leave the scene and was followed by a witness, who observed him drive to the residence of 419 Badger Lane, said the Sheriff’s office.

When sheriff’s deputies arrived, Willmann was identified as the driver of the vehicle and was arrested and charged with a hit and run, driving under the influence of alcohol and the unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, the sheriff's office said.
