Sunday, Dec. 16

Speeding

Sean Vincen Carroll, 18, of the 0-99 block of West Rickard Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. at Poplar Drive and Flint Creek Lane, Kendall, and charged with speeding 33 mph over the posted speed limit, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was found to be doing 79 mph in a 45 mph zone and was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Criminal trespass to railroad

Joshua Carl-Lee Suggs, 22, of the 100 block of West Rickard Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 2:16 p.m. at Light Road west of Commerce Drive, Oswego and charged with criminal trespass to railroad property, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Suggs was found to be on BNSF property while collecting scrap metal.

Saturday, Dec. 15

No valid driver’s license

Veronica Jio Garth, 28, of the 1200 block of Getzelman Drive, Elgin, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. at Route 31 and Baseline Road, Oswego and charged with driving without a valid license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. She was also cited for failing to dim brith lights and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft that occurred at Barber Green Hunting and Fishing Club, Oswego, at 7 p.m. Several boats were reported stolen, one belonging to a victim valued at $700. The Sheriff’s office has suspects for the thefts of the boats.

Friday, Dec. 14

Speeding, no valid driver’s license

Victor Hugo Vega-Ortega, 21, of the 0-99 block of S. Lincoln Ave., Aurora, was arrested at 8:33 a.m. at Orchard and Tuscany Trail, Oswego and charged with driving without a valid license and speeding, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Vega-Orega was found to be 33 mph over speed limit, driving at 78 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Unauthorized possession of weapon on school grounds

A female juvenile, Montgomery, was charged for the unauthorized possession of a weapon that occurred at 10:25 a.m. at Longbeach Elementary School, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. A student had shown a pocket-knife to other students in the room in what was reported a non-threatening manner. The knife was later seized.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Austin Joseph Biagioni, 18, of the 2400 block of Lambert Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 6:14 p.m. at Springdale Road and Eastfield Road, Oswego and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for no rear registration plate light.

Possession of cannabis, drug paraphernalia

Bradley Jules Lasseigne, 23, of the 200 block of Rosewood, Plano and Kelsey Lynn Skulavik, 20, of the 5100 block of Gardiemer Glenn Drive, Planfield, were arrested at 7:23 p.m. at Canham and Center, Bristol, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Lasseigne was charged with possession of cannabis and Skulavik was charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia. They were originally stopped for making a turn without signaling.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft that occurred between 6:20 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Dolores, Oswego. Scrap items valued under $300 were removed from the front of the residence.

Thursday, Dec. 13

Theft of mislaid property

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft that occurred on Dec. 12 at 2:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Light Road. The victim mislaid their wallet containing their driver’s license, social security card, cash and several credit cards. Someone reportedly took their wallet and used a debit card.

Telephone harassment

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported telephone harassment that occurred at 9:20 p.m. The party that was allegedly making the calls was contacted and no complaints were signed.

Fraud

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported fraud that occurred at 2 p.m. The reporting person entered a common sweepstakes promotion and was received a voice message that said they had won money. Before they could collect their prize they would need to meet with a representative and pay money. The reporting person contacted the sweepstakes company and was told their database had been breached. The public is advised to be alert for this type of scam.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

Domestic battery

Charles Roy Matlock, 51, of the 3900 block of Cannonball Trail, Yorkville, was arrested at 6:00 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

In-state warrant

Anwar Amir Williams, 26, of the 1300 block of Winona Ave., Aurora, was arrested at 4:37 p.m. at Route 31 and Caterpillar and charged with an in-state warrant out of Kane County for driving with a suspended license, said the Kendall County sheriff’s office.

No valid driver’s license

Baltazar G. Romero, 42, of the 0-99 block of Sonora Drive, Montgomery, was arrested at 5:04 p.m. at Fernwood Road and Woodridge Road, Oswego and charged with driving without a valid license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for no rear registration plate light.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

Criminal damage to property, domestic violence

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the in the 0-99 block of Surrey Lane, Montgomery at 10:41 a.m. in reference to a verbal domestic dispute. Deputies found a glass tabletop and ceramic indoor grill base broken, valued at $40. No complaints were signed.

No valid driver’s license

James Edward Hurley, 47, of the 16500 block of Burr Oak, Plano, was arrested at 4:07 p.m. at Veteran’s Parkway and Cannonball Trail and charged with driving without a valid license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for having expired registration plates and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Monday, Dec. 10

Failure to appear warrant

Sergio Yire Nino, 25, of the 140 block of Heathgate Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. at his residence and charged with two failure to appear warrants for driving on a suspended license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Identity theft

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported identity theft that occurred between Dec. 6 and Dec. 10. Unauthorized charges were made to a credit card.

Sunday, Dec. 9

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of criminal damage to property that occurred on Dec. 7 at 9:00 a.m. in the 8200 block of Galena Road, Bristol. A motor home on the property was reported damaged.

Saturday, Dec. 8

Possession of cannabis

Kyle Andrew Chapman, 18, of the 0-99 block of Old Post Road, Montgomery, and a male juvenile, 17, of Oswego, were arrested at 7:36 p.m. at Ceblod Drive and Circle West, Oswego and charged with the possession of cannabis under 2.5 grams, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Deputies had responded to a suspicious car in the area occupied by four individuals. Two individuals were released.
