Sheriff's Blotter: Three Counts of Battery Reported

Thursday, Oct. 4

In-state warrant

Nicholas J. Hessling, 22, of the 0-99 block of Durango, Montgomery was arrested at 2:35 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Durango and charged with a warrant out of Kendall County for unlawful possession and delivery of a controlled substance, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

Driving with license suspended, failure to reduce speed to avoid accident

Valeria Garcia, 26, of the 2000 block of Foxpointe Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 5:56 p.m. at Briarcliff Road and Boulder Hill Pass and charged with driving with a suspened license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Garcia was also charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

Jamaun Letrell Riley, 27, of the 1900 block of Tall Oaks Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 8:38 p.m. in the 2500 block of Light Road and charged with a warrant out of Will County for a traffic offense, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies originally responded to a call of a suspicious person.

Monday, Oct. 1

Burglary

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a burglary that occurred at 8:12 p.m. at a business in the 600 block of Route 34. A burglar alarm had gone off and on scene deputies found that a door had been forced open. Nothing appeared to have been taken, and the matter is under investigation.

Theft, identity theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of identity theft that occurred sometime between Sept. 12 and Sept. 27. A victim reported that someone took a debit card from their home and was used multiple times in the Oswego area from Sept. 14 to Sept. 27. The matter is under investigation.

Sunday, Sept. 30

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of criminal damage to property that occurred at 7:26 p.m. in the 100 block of Heathgate Road, Montgomery. A male juvenile reportedly damaged a vehicle in regards to a domestic dispute and was taken into custody.

Aggravated battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of aggravated battery that occurred at 6:00 p.m. at Long Beach Elementary School between two male juveniles. One of the juveniles was taken into custody.  

Saturday, Sept. 29

Driving with suspended license, speeding

Blanca Teresa Arebalo, 27, of the 700 block of Orchard Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 7:38 p.m. at Light and Route 31 and charged with driving with a suspended license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Arebalo was also charged with speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of battery that occurred at 7:30 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Bereman Road, Montgomery. Deputies were dispatched to Rush-Copley for a patient with a head injury, where they determined the person was a victim of battery. The case is under investigation.

Thursday, Sept. 27

Aggravated battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of aggravated battery that occurred at 7:00 p.m. in Winrock Park. The matter is under investigation.
