Sheriff's Blotter: Man With No Valid FOID Has Multiple Weapons

Battery
Joe H. Botello, 22, of Carpentersville, was charged with battery at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday at 24 N. West Drive, in Oswego, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s police report. Deputies responded to the house and found Botello was highly intoxicated and becoming aggressive with patrons at a house party, the report said. Botello ended up striking a victim in the face and was taken into custody, the report said.

Marijuana possession
Joseph Garibay, 18, 400 Hackney Lane, Oswego, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana at about 3:20 a.m. Friday at Route 34 and Fifth Street, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. Garibay was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for making an improper turn, and a drug dog alerted sheriff’s deputies to drugs in the car, the report said.

Juveniles trespassing
Three male juveniles ranging in age from 12 to 14 were cited by Kendall County Sheriff’s police for trespassing on railroad property at about 6:40 p.m. June 24 at Route 25 and Boulder Hill Pass, according to a sheriff’s office report. The three had gone on to the tracks and were later released to their parents.
DUI
Josephine F. Wilson, 46, 470 Burr Oak Drive, Oswego, was charged with driving under the influence and driving while license suspended at about 5:30 p.m. June 23 at Route 34 and Orchard Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. She was stopped after driving on the center dividing line and being seen texting while driving, the report said. She was also cited for improper lane usage, texting while driving and no valid drivers license.
No valid FOID
John B. Wimmer, 37, 11 Curtmar Court, Boulder Hill, was charged with felony no firearm owner identification card June 21 at his home after Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the home for a domestic disturbance, according a sheriff’s report. Wimmer was found with multiple weapons and a revoked FOID card, the report said. He was taken to Kendall County Jail.
