Six Counts of Battery Reported in Last Week: Sheriff

Saturday, Aug. 10

Domestic battery

Jose J. Lopez, 26, of the 0-50 block of Rocky Way, Montgomery, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery after deputies responded to a 911 hang-up call and found Lopez had pushed his girlfriend, said the Sheriff’s office.

Friday, Aug. 9

DUI

Kenneth John Wyzkowski, 55, of the 300 block of North Avenue, Sycamore, was arrested at 6:31 p.m. at Route 47 and Bonnie Lane and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Sherif’s office. Deputies had received a 911 call of a reckless driver entering Kendall County from Grundy County on Route 47 and were able to locate the vehicle and make a traffic stop for improper lane usage.

Disorderly conduct

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of disorderly conduct that occurred between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the 10800 block of Route 71 and the Kendall County Fair. The victim reported an old friend/neighbor made verbal threats towards his well-being.

Warrant

Thomas Richard Crothers IV, 24, of the 1900 block of Laverne Drive, Sandwich, was arrested at 2:37 a.m. at the entrance to the Hide-Away Lakes Campgrounds, 8000 block of Van Emmon Road, and charged with an in state warrant, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies were investigating a suspicious vehicle parked at the entrance and found that Crothers had a warrant out of DeKalb.

Thursday, Aug. 8

Domestic battery

Alfonso Dagoberto Aguilar, 38, of the 0-99 block of Marnel Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 5:31 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery, said the Sheriff’s office.

Warrant

Benjamin Robert Gutirrez, 25, of the 29W400 block of Lee Road, West Chicago, was arrested at 3:28 p.m. in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road, Yorkville, and charged with an in state warrant for violating an order of protection, said the Sheriff’s office.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported theft that occurred between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7 in the 0-99 block of North West Drive, Oswego. A riding lawn tractor valued at under $500 was reported taken from a backyard.

Burglary from motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported attempted burglary from a motor vehicle that occurred sometime overnight on Aug. 7 into Aug. 8 in the 0-99 block of Ingleshire Road, Montgomery. The victim reported finding pry marks on the driver’s side door of her vehicle.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for criminal damage to property that occurred between Aug. 6 and Aug. 7 in the 10000 block of Legion Road, Yorkville. Several doors and windows were reported broken.

Battery

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of battery that occurred at 11:40 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Basswood Court, Bristol.

Domestic battery

Kelli Lynn Luther, 31, of the 0-99 block of Amanda Lane, Yorkville, was arrested at 2:28 a.m. at her residence and charged with domestic battery against a juvenile, said the Sheriff’s office.

Tuesday, Aug. 6

DUI

Donald A. Toutant, 29, of the 0-20 block of Fieldpoint, Montgomery, was arrested at 6:54 p.m. in the 5200 block of Route 34, Oswego, and charged with driving under the influence after being involved in a traffic accident, said the Sheriff’s office. Toutant rear-ended a vehicle stopped in traffic while traveling eastbound on Route 34, which pushed that vehicle into another vehicle.

Domestic battery

Jimmie Boundurant Jr., 45, of the 0-99 block of Aldon Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 9:38 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery after deputies went to the address for a criminal damage to property report and found that Boundurant had battered a family member, said the Sheriff’s office.

Domestic battery, interfering with reporting of domestic battery

Amos Alexander Martinez, 33, of the 100 block of Circle Drive West, Montgomery, was arrested at 9:22 a.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery after having a physical altercation with family members at his residence, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also charged with interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery after taking the phone away from the victim and removing the battery so the victim could not call 99.

Obstructing identification, warrant

Amos Alexander Martinez, 33, was arrested at 9:25 a.m. at his residence and charged with obstructing identification after providing deputies with a false name and was also charged with two outstanding warrants for DWLS out of Kendall County, said the Sheriff’s office.

Monday, Aug. 5

No valid driver’s license

A male juvenile was arrested at 11:37 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Boulder Hill Pass, Montgomery, and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for failure to dim high beams.

Warrant

Jose L. Hernandez, 20, of the 1400 block of Abbott Drive, Elgin, was arrested at 7:49 p.m. at Hill Avenue and Goodwin Drive and charged with a warrant out of Carpentersville for a post sentence violation, said the Sheriff’s office.
